World Autism Awareness Day Observed at Government Children Hospital, Bemina

The Department of Pediatrics, in association with the Department of Psychiatry, observed World Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April at the 500-Bedded Government Children Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar.

The event was graced by Prof. Zaid Ahmad Wani from the Department of Psychiatry and was also attended by the Medical Superintendent and the Head of the Department of Pediatrics, along with faculty, resident doctors, nursing staff, and postgraduate students.A multidisciplinary team comprising a child psychologist, psychiatrist, occupational therapist, and speech therapist delivered informative presentations, highlighting early intervention and holistic care in autism.The programme emphasized the key message of Acceptance, Understanding, and Support, promoting inclusive care for children on the autism spectrum
