About Department
The Department of ENT was initially born as E. ENT (eye, ear, nose and throat) in 1959. In 1970, a separate department of ENT was created which was initially headed by Late Prof I.P.Kohli. Professor Manzoor A. latoo is the current Head of Department
The department runs OPD 6 days a week which is fully equipped with a minor procedure room and with latest equipment’s like ATMOS endoscopic examination system, Stroboscopy, Flexible laryngoscopy etc. Besides this, as well-developed Hearing and Speech centre is running on OPD days with facilities like BERA, OAE, Tympanometry, VNG and Speech therapy in addition to routine Pure tone audiometry, Impedance audiometry.
The department is equipped with an operation theatre complex with three General Anaesthesia tables running at a time and one Emergency Operation theatre running 7x24.Almost all latest equipment’s and gadgets are available in theatre like.

Since its inception, the department has been progressing in medical education, research and providing quality healthcare. The department has gained immense popularity for doing routine ENT and advanced work in Head and neck surgeries, endoscopic sinus surgeries and skull base surgeries.
