GMC Srinagar to Hold Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp on 23 October
The Department of Radiation Oncology, Government Medical College Srinagar, is organising a Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp on 23 October 2026, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Radiation Oncology Department , SMHS
The camp is being held under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan, Principal/Dean, GMC Srinagar, to promote women’s health and encourage early detection of breast cancer.
Services offered free of cost:
- Clinical Breast Examination
- Ultrasonography (USG) Breast Screening, wherever clinically indicated
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women, but it is highly treatable when detected early. Prof. Iffat Hassan urged women to come forward without hesitation and make use of this initiative, saying that awareness and early diagnosis are the strongest tools in reducing the burden of breast cancer.
